Mahindra Racing is thrilled to announce a pioneering new Fanboost initiative ahead of the 2019/20 ABB FIA Formula E Championship’s season opener in Saudi Arabia this weekend. For Season 6, every vote received by the team’s drivers Pascal Wehrlein and Jérôme D’Ambrosio will convert into a tree planted; meaning fans can have a direct positive impact on the environment by voting for free when Fanboost for this weekend’s Diryah E-Prix opens.
The tree planting initiative is another measure that Mahindra Racing is taking as it continually strives to make positive changes for the environment. Mahindra Racing was the first, and remains the only, Formula E team to achieve FIA Sustainability Accreditation. The squad first successfully attained its two star rating (previously called “Progress Towards Excellence”) in November 2016 and, following a periodic audit in February this year, Mahindra Racing maintained its status in the framework, with the aim of being carbon neutral by 2020.
The team is committed to the FIA environmental certification programme by minimising its environmental impact and working towards achieving carbon neutrality. It also takes learnings from advanced technologies in its race car to apply it to its road cars within its Race to Road initiative, developing and promoting more sustainable transportation solutions.
To launch the initiative, Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions finalist and Ukraine’s Got Talent winner Kseniya Simonova has created a special sand art video showing how fans can make a difference to the environment through tree planting. Simonova has most recently been seen on screen on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions, where Amanda Holden gave her the golden buzzer in the audition rounds to see her progress straight to the final and in America’s Got Talent: Champions, where she also reached the final.
Finally, the tradition of asking fans to name its car for the upcoming season continued ahead of the start of the 2019/20 campaign. Following a public vote across the Mahindra Racing social media channels to #NameTheM6Electro, Jérôme D’Ambrosio’s #64 car will be known as The Godfather. His teammate Pascal Wehrlein will pilot the #94 car, Electro McQueen.

| The World’s Fastest Gamer champion, Rudy van Buren, has officially joined Mahindra Racing as its second simulator development driver following a series of trial sessions last season. The 27-year-old will join Sam Dejonghe to support the team’s simulation programme throughout season six of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. Van Buren grew up on the racetrack, rising through the karting ranks before he turned to eSports where he was crowned champion of multiple world class racing series. Following his winning performance in the McLaren F1 team’s inaugural World’s Fastest Gamer competition, the Dutchman beat 30,000 applicants to be awarded a year’s contract as one of the team’s official F1 simulator drivers. Van Buren has experience as a simulator test driver in multiple motorsport disciplines and has competed in the 2018 Race of Champions, Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland and Porsche Supercup. |

The discerning readers of the most-circulated newspaper in the United States, USA Today, have voted the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in a fan poll as the No.1 motorsports event in North America.
The Sebring International Raceway event was one of 20 racing events nominated by a panel of experts for the month-long online competition and Sebring came out top thanks to the passion and support of the fans. In the previous two USA Today 10Best competitions – 2015 and 2017 – the Sebring endurance classic finished sixth and fourth respectively.
Gérard Neveu, CEO of the WEC, commented: “Many congratulations to Sebring International Raceway and to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for this honour. It is a further, positive recognition of this fantastic event which we are sure will only help to increase the attraction of the coming Super Sebring in March 2020. The WEC is very honoured to be part of this unique motorsport celebration, which is excellent for the appeal and significance of sportscars in North America. The nomination by USA Today, and especially this vote from the fans, is real recognition of the hard work done by the IMSA program throughout the whole season.”

La promotora MCS (Military Combat Sambo), representada por Irving Rosette, Edgar Domínguez y David Dominguez; ONTOY PRODUCTIONS, el World MMA Council a través de su presidente, Edgar del Toro, así como miembros de la Federación Mexicana e Internacional de Sambo, anunciaron que el IRSC (International Race & Sambo Combat) se llevará a cabo en el Frontón México el 13 de julio del presente año a partir de las 15:00 horas y, además de las peleas programadas, contará con la participación musical de los artistas Dragón Force, View Point, Victimas del Dr. Cerebro y Sian. Un día antes, y con el mismo boleto, el público podrá acudir a la ceremonia del pesaje en lo que promete ser el evento más completo del año en esta modalidad.
Cabe destacar que el torneo está avalado por la Federación Nacional de Sambo, el Consejo Mundial de Artes Marciales Mixtas y tendrá como combate estelar el duelo entre los campeones mundiales de esta modalidad de pelea, el mexicano Luis “Wicho” Castañeda y el peleador brasileño conocido como Cassio. El objetivo del torneo es obtener dos campeones mundiales de artes marciales mixtas y campeones mundiales de Sambo (Varonil y Femenil), combinando las artes marciales en la disciplina Sambo con grupos musicales de rock, como son Víctimas del Dr Cerebro, Dragon Force y Vista Point. El combat se intercalará con presentaciones de grupos musicales antes enunciados para mayor entretenimiento del público y contará además con la presencia del cantante Sian Chiong como padrino del evento.
El sambo es una disciplina creada en Rusia para la guerra, para generar una técnica para las fuerzas especiales de dicho país, que posteriormente se convirtió en su deporte nacional. Existen dos tipos: el sambo sport, basado en proyecciones y el sambo combat, que es más parecido a las artes marciales mixtas. La IRSC se trata de una competencia para diez peleadores que incluye una pista con obstáculos para demostrar la agilidad de los atletas, luego una fase de tiros de precisión, lanzamiento de hachas y posteriormente las peleas bajo las reglas de combate que ya son habituales.
Victimas del Dr. Cerebro estrena en estos días su nuevo sencillo y video “Amor enfermo”, una canción en la que colabora Dr. Shenka de Panteón Rococó, cuyo tema formará parte de un nuevo disco que verá la luz este año y será un material con el que conmemoraran 30 años de carrera ininterrumpida y que dará continuidad a la propuesta de música fusionada con los comics, los monstruos y toda la parafernalia que ha acompañado a las Victimas durante todos estos años. En la canción “Amor enfermo” el “Chipotle” una vez más se enfunda en la responsabilidad de ser el cantante quien junto a Dr. Shenka presentan una buena combinación de voces sobresaliendo los metales de Ricardo Flores, uno de los mejores instrumentistas de viento del rock nacional. La banda además de estar afinando los últimos detalles del disco, continúan de gira por el país con el Shock Rock, un show que vale la pena por todos los elementos visuales del mismo, además de que siguen promoviendo su cerveza artesanal “Fuel for devils”
La banda británica de power metal Dragon Force formada en el año 1999 en Londres será otra de las agrupaciones de primera línea invitada a este espectáculo que combina música y deporte. Caracterizada por contar en su formación con músicos originarios de China, Reino Unido, Italia, Francia y Ucrania y con letras que explotan el lado épico y fantástico del power metal confirmó su regreso a nuestro país para ser parte de este evento anunciando al tiempo que México será de los primeros países que podrán escuchar en vivo los temas de su nuevo álbum y7 que interpretarán canciones que no se habían tocado antes en vivo como “Inside the Winter Storm” y “Cry for Eternity”. DragonForce se diferencia de otras bandas de power y heavy metal en la velocidad de sus temas, sus solos rápidos, la influencia de los sonidos del teclado (semejantes a los videojuegos antiguos) y el uso del blast beat en la batería, lo que le da un sello inconfundible que descargará en México el sábado 13 de Julio.

- This weekend’s Race Of Champions will take place on a specially constructed pursuit-style racetrack at Mexico City’s Foro Sol, which was completed today ahead of the first practice laps by some of motorsport’s greatest drivers
- The purpose-built track, similar to one used at the 2015 Race Of Champions in London’s Olympic Stadium, has been designed by rally legend and ROC co-founder Michèle Mouton and ROC’s Test and Stunt Driver Terry Gran
- ROC Mexico will be held on January 19-20, 2019 at the Foro Sol, the iconic amphitheatre forming part of Mexico City’s Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez Formula 1 circuit, where race fans will have a perfect view from every seat
- The field features greats of F1, IndyCar, NASCAR, RallyX and Le Mans for a packed weekend of racing in identical supercars with the winner decided by driver skill alone
This weekend’s Race Of Champions – at the Foro Sol stadium section of Mexico City’s Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez F1 circuit – will feature a pursuit-style track specially designed by rally legend and ROC co-founder Michèle Mouton and ROC’s Test and Stunt Driver Terry Grant.

Each driver will start from a point halfway around the track from their rival. To rev up the tension even further, the track has been designed so the two racers will start next to each other but facing in opposite directions. At the green light they will speed off in a bid to hunt each other down. It all builds up to the big finish – also approached from opposite ends – where there can only be one winner, often decided only by fractions of a second.

El Gobernador del Estado de Jalisco, Aristóteles Sandoval, recibió esta tarde en su despacho de Casa Jalisco a la medallista de bronce en el Mundial de Gimnasia de Trampolín 2018, Dafne Navarro Loza, a quien consideró como un ejemplo para los jóvenes y todos los jaliscienses.
El mandatario destacó su esfuerzo y dedicación, “estamos muy orgullosos todos los jaliscienses de tu logro, que no es poca cosa”. Le pidió mantener sus aspiraciones altas y una disciplina fuerte para alcanzarlas.
Por su parte, Navarro Loza agradeció el apoyo tanto del Gobernador como del Code Jalisco. Aseguró que buscará seguir brillando, sobre todo, para ayudar a proyectar más su deporte.

Este sábado por la noche el Gobernador del Estado de Jalisco, Aristóteles Sandoval, asistió al Estadio de los Charros de Jalisco para ser testigo del juego inaugural del equipo jalisciense en lo correspondiente a la temporada 2018-2019 de la Liga Mexicana del Pacífico, en el cual se enfrentaron a los Venados de Mazatlán.
En la ceremonia de inauguración previa a este partido, elementos del Ejército Mexicano ondearon la bandera de México por todo lo largo y ancho del terreno de juego, mientras los miles de asistentes entonaron al unísono el Himno Nacional. Posteriormente, la noche se engalanó con fuegos artificiales. Y para dar inicio al juego estuvo presente el vocalista de la Banda MS, quien fue el encargado de lanzar la primera bola del partido.

This Sunday (14 October), more than 5,400 cycling professionals and enthusiasts will race through the city of Hong Kong at the annual Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon, as the not-to-be-missed event on the international cycling calendar returns for the fourth straight year.
Eleven UCI WorldTour Teams, three Pro Continental Teams and the Hong Kong National Team will race all-out in Hammer Hong Kong, the first and only Asian leg of the revolutionary international professional Hammer Series, a Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Asia Tour Class 1.1 Road Race.
Hammer Series 2018, which kicked off in Stavanger, Norway in May and continued in Limburg, Netherlands in June, will present the finale in Hong Kong. The team with the most accumulated points willbe crowned Hammer Series Winner 2018.
Early on Sunday, thousands of amateur cyclists from Hong Kong and around the world will participate in the equally exciting 50km or 30km rides, and enjoy the breathtaking ride through the diverse cityscape against Hong Kong’s world-famous skyline and fantastic view from three spectacular Hong Kong landmarks: Tsing Ma Bridge, Ting Kau Bridge and Stonecutters Bridge.

· Aristóteles Sandoval reconoció la importancia del modelo
deportivo de Jalisco a nivel América Latina
El Gobernador del Estado de Jalisco, Aristóteles Sandoval, recibió en Casa
Jalisco a los deportistas que representaron a nuestro Estado en los XXIII
Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, en Barranquilla, Colombia.
A esta reunión asistieron un total de 102 atletas que pusieron en alto el
nombre de Jalisco, y México, al ganar en conjunto un total de 87 medallas:
37 de oro, 22 de plata y 28 de bronce; motivo por el cual el Gobernador se
mostró muy contento y orgulloso, pues el deporte jalisciense destaca a
nivel nacional.
“Son ustedes un ejemplo para toda la nación, son ustedes de quien podemos
aprender que ya pasamos de la generación de mexicanos que era de ‘sí se
puede’ a ‘podemos, lo hicimos’, y eso lo van a contagiar”, expresó el
mandatario.
Sandoval aprovechó la ocasión para reconocer el esfuerzo de cada uno de
estos atletas, quienes son un ejemplo de ciudadanos, pues además de asistir
a sus entrenamientos, estudian y luchan por superarse. Así mismo, felicitó
y agradeció a sus familias y entrenadores por el apoyo que siempre le
brindan a estos deportistas.
“A nombre de los jaliscienses decirles: gracias. Gracias por tanto que nos
han dado, gracias a sus entrenadores, gracias a las asociaciones que están
pendientes, gracias a sus padres de familia”, comentó.
El Gobernador resaltó la importancia de seguir apoyando al deporte
jalisciense, para que a los atletas no les falten las herramientas, los
medios, las facilidades, la capacitación, las terapias y la asistencia que
necesitan para seguir siendo grandes.
Además, aprovechó la ocasión para recordarles a los medallistas que
necesitan seguirse preparando con perseverancia y mejorando permanentemente
para dar continuidad al gran liderazgo que han demostrado, no sólo a nivel
nacional, sino en todo Latinoamérica y otras latitudes.
“Estamos haciendo una simbiosis y compactando un modelo que va a ser de los
mejores de América Latina, ya lo es, y ustedes, cada una y cada uno con lo
que hicieron, con ese orgullo de portar sus medallas, lo demostraron que
somos de los mejores a nivel América Latina”, finalizó el Gobernador.

- La categoría Baby/Mini crece y se viven carreras espectaculares.
- Eloy Sebastián López volvió a ganar la categoría estelar
Con los pequeños pilotos se vio un crecimiento en la participación, 16 en la categoría MINI y por su parte los pequeños de la BABY sumaron 6, así que vimos un total de 22 pequeños dando muestra de su talento, este incremento fue gracias en parte a que se puede usar motor IAME 60cc en el campeonato.
El clima fue un ingrediente extra en esta fecha, en participar la lluvia que se presentó de manera intermitente durante sábado por la tarde, durante el Round 7 de la categoría Mini 60cc, en la categoría invitada Shifter 125cc y con la estelar Reto Telmex.
En la competencia de la categoría Baby60cc Fernando Hazas fue quien dominó el fin de semana apuntándose la victoria en los tres Rounds, seguido por Emilio Vela y en la tercera plaza el debutante Luciano Galván.
La parrilla que más creció fue la de los Mini 60cc, con varios debutantes y pilotos que volvieron a correr en este campeonato, de estos pequeños talentos el que tuvo mejor desempeño fue Paolo Milán, al ganar dos de los Rounds por ellos se apuntó a su favor el trofeo de primer lugar.
Manuel Roza uno de los pilotos que debutaron en el campeonato, dejo ver lo bien que conduce con el piso mojado, por ello acumuló los puntos necesarios para subir al podio en la segunda posición, el tercer peldaño fue ocupado por Donovan Bonilla.
Las competencias de la categoría Reto Telmex fueron espectaculares, la del sábado el Round 7 fue suspendido por la lluvia, el ganador de está carrera fue Iñigo León, para el domingo el Round 8 fue para Emiliano Jauregui y el Round 9 para Eloy Lopez.
La sumatoria de puntos para tener el triunfador general de la jornada fue sumamente cerrada, solo la diferencia fue de un punto a favor de Eloy Sebastián López, que nuevamente sube al podio en la primera posición.
La segunda posición fue para Emiliano Jauregui y la tercera para Iñigo León. Del estado del campeonato aún no está definido faltan cuatro fechas, con muchos puntos por repartir, la siguiente carrera será en septiembre 22 y 23.

The third round of the 2018-19 FIA World Endurance Championship Super Season is almost upon us with Silverstone, the Home of British Motor Racing, this year featuring in a summer slot.
Jenson Button in his first home race since 2016, close competition, more overtakes than you can count, and tight, on-track battles among the 34 competitors are expected in the 6 Hours of Silverstone (17-19 August).
The outright winners of the race will lift the coveted Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy, the oldest trophy in motorsport (which has only been won once by a British driver, Anthony Davidson, since the WEC launched in 2012).
All this, plus a packed timetable of entertainment on and off track, has been programmed for the enthusiastic and knowledgeable crowds which traditionally enjoy the world championship’s only visit to Great Britain.
Fans will be able to see not only the WEC, but also the fourth round of the ever-popular European Le Mans Series and three races from the hotbed of junior racing talent, the FIA F3 Championship. Don’t miss a minute of the action!
