Kill Pill Klvb presents #KillPillNights next February 2nd and 3rd in México. The first night in Foro Landó in Toluca, EDOMEX and in Foro Indie Rocks in México City by the saturday.
L.A.
Witch, a femenine trio rock band from south California will share the
stage with 1000mods, a stoner band from Greece and the locals Johnny
Nasty Boots, who will be touring together for this two concerts, that
will show their unique sounds as alive as they are.
In
a special interview with L.A. Witch, integrated by Sade Sánchez on
vocals and guitar, Ellie English on the drums and Irita Pai who plays
bass guitar, this rock band tell us about theirselves and their upcoming
plans.
Formed
5 years ago, L.A. Witch re-defined their actual line-up by recruited
Ellie (ex-Big Sis and simultaneally member of "Las Cruces") 4 years ago
when they played in México by the first time. Now with Suicide Squeeze
Records they still are touring with their L.P. debut álbum, which are
going to be played alive in México, besides old songs and new ones that
will be played for the first time.
The
band's name was created thinking in a 'cool' psychobilly word (Witch -
so Sade said-), and added L.A. in order to not confused with another
band who took the same name before. It's associated with a lot of their
influences and is a femenine term that kinda' helps to describe tha
band. (sic)
Althoug L.A. Witch is associated
with Garage Bands, some new stuff has more about punk vibe or country
swing, because they don't like to be rated as a psychedellic band.
About
the original sound L.A. Witch's, they like to play it cool. While
touring, Sade changes her Vox Viper for a Jazzmaster, because she says
it's so precious to her; Ellie use a Pork Pie snarl in studio, but she
does not mind if it's avalaible only other people's drumset; Just Irita
plays the same mustang in shows as in record performances.
About
the song writings, Sade said that she writes the lyrics, then come-up
with some melodies, putting the main ideas so the whole song come-up
through Ellie and Irita ideas, getting the song structure together.
L.A.
Witch knows mexican rock scene. They joined a band from México "Has a
Shadow", which tour a month among them in the States. They said not to
know the bands that gonna' play in the mexican little tour, but they
said it's always refreshing and cool to play with brand new bands.
After
this two concerts in México, L.A. Witch will be home again, then they
will start a new european tour in march followed by a U.S. tour.
Finally the rock banda girls L.A. Witch declares they like mexican food, to drink mezcal and go to party.
