Where to see 6H Shanghai on TV; Manor and TRS to enter LMP1

World Championship crowns to be claimed - not to be missed on TV

Title battles will be coming to a head in the FIA World Endurance Championship this weekend in the second of the two-round visit to the Far East. The outcome of the 6 Hours of Shanghai in China will likely see World Endurance Champions crowned, and title battles in other classes brought to a head.
The increasing interest in motorsport, and endurance racing in particular, has been helped enormously by the patronage of global movie and entertainment star Jackie Chan who will be in attendance this weekend. The weather is due to be fine and warm all week which will allow for non-stop action and top class racing throughout the field.
The eighth round of the 2017 season takes place on Sunday 5 November at Shanghai International Circuit in the suburbs of China’s biggest city and financial hub. For those unable to be at the racetrack, look no further than the comprehensive WEC TV distribution guide HERE

Manor and TRS to enter LMP1 in 2018/2019

More exciting new has today been revealed regarding future entrants to the LMP1 category in the FIA WEC!
In Shanghai, at a press conference hosted by CEFC China and attended by senior representatives from CEFC China, Talent Racing Sports (TRS), Graeme Lowdon from Manor and Gérard Neveu, CEO of the WEC, it was announced that the team will enter the LMP1 category in the 2018/2019 Super Season.
Manor and TRS – the first Chinese-flagged team to enter LMP1 – will use the Ginetta LMP1 chassis, and is expected to take delivery before the end of the year. The full driver line up won’t be announced until 2018.
Gérard Neveu commented: “TRS and Manor, together with the partnership with CEFC this year, are a perfect fit. In endurance racing, team spirit, innovation, performance, a taste for challenges and victory are all qualities which will undoubtedly be present and which will, without doubt, make this partnership a great success story. We look forward to welcoming all parties in the WEC paddock this weekend for the 6 Hours of Shanghai, and in future seasons.”
