Vanessa Hudgens joins Candy Crush superfans to set a Guinness World Record for the largest architectural projection-mapped game

Friday, October 12, 2018: King, a leading interactive entertainment company for the mobile world and creators of one of the world’s most popular mobile gaming franchises, Candy Crush, last night illuminated the New York skyline with the highly anticipated and latest addition to the franchise, Candy Crush Friends Saga.

More than 500 fans and celebrities gathered at Brookfield Place in Manhattan New York, to see the stunning new 3D world and characters in Candy Crush Friends Saga, brought to life on a 26-storey canvas, helping to set a new world record for the largest architectural projection-mapped game ever!

Skeery Jones of Z100 radio opened the event before Candy Crush Friends Saga was unveiled by two mega-fans, chosen from the Candy Crush community of millions. Joining them was actress, singer and Candy Crush friend, Vanessa Hudgens, who, wielding a 5ft lollipop, helped to trigger the first unveiling of the game on 250 Vesey Street.

Next came Candy Crush character favourites Misty, Tiffi, Yeti and Odus, who peeped through curtains and danced to the crowd. For the first time in franchise history, the 3D characters play an integral role in the new game, helping players beat tricky blockers with their unique powers.

VIP celebrities including Chloe Moretz, Emily Ratajkowski, Vanessa Hudgens andAshlee Simpson joined lucky Candy Crush fans, walking a 120ft pink ‘Candy Carpet’ before playing the new game as the audience watched the building react to every match and swipe!

And if the night wasn’t sweet enough, a surprise DJ set from Lil Jon played out crowds with a thirty-minute performance as the characters danced on the building before it erupted into a magnificent ‘candyworks” display!
