New York, NY October 29, 2017 – Moët Hennessy, the Naked Heart Foundation and amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, joined forces for the first time to hold a magnificent Halloween edition of The Fabulous Fund Fair in New York City.  The Fabulous Fund Fair, Halloween Edition, was NYC’s newest, scariest and hottest Halloween extravaganza. This was a fabulous fun-filled frightful carnival complete with whimsical stalls, games, amusements, luxury prizes, celebrity hosts, cocktails, champagne and delectable treats.

As the Official Wine & Spirits Partner of both amfAR and The Fabulous Fund Fair, guests enjoyed products from Moët Hennessy’s prestigious portfolio including Veuve Clicquot, Dom Pérignon, Volcan De Mi Tierra Tequila, Belvedere Vodka, Hennessy Cognac, Glenmorangie Single Malt Scotch Whisky and selected wines from Terrazas des los Andes.

Veuve Clicquot treated guests to glasses of Yellow Label champagne throughout the evening. In keeping with the theme, a custom-made bar featured “Veuve Clicquot yellow” balloons accented with spiders and crows.  At the Veuve Clicquot game, guests tested their skills at “Hook-a-Spider”—the Veuve Clicquot version of “Hook-a-Duck.”  Players attempted to hook floating spiders which corresponded to special champagne prizes—a glass of Veuve Clicquot Rosé, Vintage 2008 or La Grande Dame.

Dom Pérignon participated in a Wheel of Fortune style game where guests paid different increments to spin the wheel for a chance at winning a Dom Pérignon experience that offered the ultimate in Champagne luxury for lovers of Dom Pérignon and gourmet food. The experience included a 4-day Paris and Epernay, Champagne journey with Dom Pérignon, dinner at Alain Ducasse and a Riva yacht excursion on the Seine river, as well as a case of personalized P2 rosé 1996 bottles or 6 personalized magnums of the current vintage.

With Moët Hennessy’s support, amfAR has been able to fund 18 Innovation grants to scientific teams that include 74 scientists in all, as well as invest in game-changing, multi-year projects like the amfAR Institute for HIV Cure Research, the only consortium of its kind in the world.

Moët Hennessy is proud to contribute to making each amfAR event around the world an exceptional experience, to support the association and its lifesaving research.

Today, President Obama designated a new national monument at the historic site of the Stonewall Uprising in New York City to honor the movement for LGBT equality.

Video: Stonewall National Monument

Here's what you need to know about America's newest national monument:
1. This is our first national monument to honor the struggle for LGBT rights.
The Stonewall National Monument will protect the area where, on June 28, 1969, a community’s uprising sparked the modern LGBT civil rights movement in the United States.
In the early morning hours of that day, a riot broke out in response to a police raid on the Stonewall Inn, one of New York City's best-known LGBT bars at the time. The nearby Christopher Park served as a gathering place, refuge, and platform for the community to voice its demand for LGBT civil rights.
After the Stonewall Uprising, the quest for LGBT equality evolved from protests and small gatherings into a nationwide movement.
2. President Obama has protected more land and water than any president in history -- and he's sought to protect places that help create a more diverse and inclusive National Park System.
Earlier this year, President Obama designated the first monument to honor the struggle for women's equality. And under his leadership, a number of LGBT sites have been designated as national historic landmarks or listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
3. This is just the latest action President Obama has taken to advance justice and equality for all, including LGBT Americans.
Thanks to President Obama, gay, lesbian, and bisexual Americans can now serve openly in the armed forces. LGBT Americans are protected by an expanded federal hate crimes law and they can no longer be turned away by insurance companies because of who they love.
And under President Obama's leadership, we now live in a country where all of our marriages and families are recognized as equal under the law.
