The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS, IATSE Local 706) announced winners of its 7th Annual MUAHS Awards in 23 categories of film, television, commercials and live theater, during a formal gala at the NOVO by Microsoft at L.A. Live Downtown on Saturday night, January 11, 2020. Winners in the Feature Motion Pictures categories include BombshellJoker and Downton Abbey. Television winners include Big Little Lies, Fosse/Verdon and Chernobyl. For the categories in Television Special/Motion Picture Made for Television, winners include Saturday Night Live, Dancing with the Stars and Deadwood: The Movie 
Winners in the Daytime Television category were awarded to The Real and Children/Teen Program honors went to A Series of Unfortunate Events. Theatrical awards were bestowed upon Cats the Musical and Hamilton. The Commercial/Music Video Award was presented to Pose: Promo Campaign 

The awards took place before an audience of more than 900, including guild members, industry executives and press. Julie Socash, President, and Randy Sayer, Business Representative, presided over the awards ceremony. Returning again as producer of this year's MUAHS Awards (#MUAHSawards) was Erick Weiss of Honeysweet Creative.  

Award-winning actor Sir Patrick Stewart, best known for his work in the Star Trek and X-Men series, received this year’s Distinguished Artisan Award celebrating his prolific acting career on stage and screen spanning nearly six decades. Soundgarden junto con The Chris Cornell Estate, UMe y Artists Den, la serie de música aclamada por la crítica, más conocida por presentar conciertos íntimos de artistas extraordinarios en entornos poco tradicionales, lanzan un material titulado: Soundgarden: Live from the Artists Den. Todo esto incluirá una experiencia renovada de la grabación del concierto de Artists Den de la legendaria banda de rock grunge de Seattle, Soundgarden, destacando el cantante y compositor Chris Cornell.

El 17 de febrero de 2013, Soundgarden concluyó una gira de invierno por los Estados Unidos con las entradas agotadas, para promocionar su primer álbum de estudio en más de 16 años, “King Animal", con una grabación especial “Live From The Artists Den” en el Wiltern de Los Ángeles. Soundgarden mezcló nuevas canciones con los éxitos clásicos de radio y rarezas tocadas en vivo por primera vez frente a una multitud arrebatadora. Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and co-organised by the Tourism Commission, the “International Light Art Display” will bring a new batch of light art installations to town. The new creations all share the theme of Love and Romance and will be displayed together with some of the existing popular light art installations starting from tomorrow, 18 January, until 24 February. The light art installations along with the beautiful setting of the Victoria Harbour will surely turn the Central harbourfront into the most romantic photo background for couples and will definitely become a popular social media “check-in” hotspot during Valentine’s Day and Spring Lantern Festival.

            There will be 15 light art installations created by local and overseas artists at the “International Light Art Display”, among which seven art installations are new pieces created with the theme of Love and Romance. In addition, some of the installations are interactive. Among the new light art installations, three were created by overseas artists, including a piece titled “Bunch of Tulips” from Hungary, that greets visitors with a colourful bunch of giant LED flowers, and the interactive “Birds Fly Around With You” from Japan, that illuminates more bird sculptures when more people step into the magical circle. In addition, there are four local installations, including “Geometry of Love”, which inspires from colourful stained glass church windows to reflect geometric heart-shaped patterns on the ground, and “Hello, Stranger”, where the gaze of two activates 60 seconds of interactive LED lighting and music.

            The Light Tunnel at the Tamar Park in Admiralty will be dressed in pink to echo the theme of Love and Romance. The 50-metre tunnel will display multiple heart shapes to grab the attention of lovers.

            On top of the new installations, eight popular existing installations, which have been on display from the very beginning of the Festival in November 2018, including “Angels of Freedom”, “Talking Heads” and “Tapping”, will still be there. The “International Light Art Display” is a major component of the “Hong Kong Pulse Light Festival”, which is a brand new mega-event launched in November 2018. This exhibition will still be displayed at the Central and Western District Promenade (Central Section) and lighting time will be maintained at 5pm to 11pm daily.

BERLIN, 2 SEPTEMBER 2018 // Bread&&Butter by Zalando (B&&B) celebrated its third edition from 31 August – 2 September 2018. The Pop-Up of Style and Culture saw a record number of 35,000 visitors, 100+ exclusive drops and pre-launches with 40+ brands as well as 6 Show Pop-Ups, 9 talks and 70+ music artists.
B&&B BRAND POP-UPS | At the 032c installation inspired by Berlin’s techno heaven Berghain visitors could experience both the B&&B capsule collab with 032c and Jérôme Boateng BOA17 and a signing sesh with the German footballer. At the Diesel Pop-Up visitors could snatch up some exclusive collab merch with Berlin’s kebab king. The denim brand recreated the city’s most infamous döner destination - Mustafa's Gemüse Kebab. Timberland unveiled the Timberland x Christopher Raeburn collaboration for the first time while offering a chance to meet the fashion designer personally at their Pop-Up and take part in his innovative repurposing workshops. At the Weekday Pop-Up visitors had the opportunity to shop and create unique Weekday products. For the first time ever, Zeitgeist collection prints were available outside of Weekday stores, with the launch of an exclusive re-edition collection available at B&&B.
B&&B SHOW POP-UPS | TOPSHOP TOPMAN created a hacienda inspired Show Pop-Up to showcase their AW18 collection featuring 22 Zalando exclusive pieces. Over three sessions, five dancers performed to a contemporary ‘90s soundtrack while a cast of ten models walked through the space. MAC Cosmetics led with a highly-stylized Voguing Fashion Show featuring Zalando pieces from high to low with the new generation of Voguers, paying homage to the underground LGBT dance movement that evolved from the 1980's Harlem ballroom scene.
B&&B TALKS | From backstage fashion shows in London, Paris, NYC and Berlin, MAC Cosmetics offered insider tips with senior artists Angelo Rauseo, and Connie Man during their talk on contemporary beauty. Following the special collab for B&&B, 032c and Jérôme Boateng had a conversation not on soccer – but dogs and style. Pepe Jeans London hosted an in-depth discussion on sustainable innovation in fashion, hosted by a panel of industry veterans.
B&&B MUSIC | The last B&&B day was packed with outstanding performances: British MC and actress Paigey Cakey came round for a playful set. Princess Nokia is the alias of New York City native Destiny Frasqueri and known for her feminist podcasts, visceral live shows and debut album "1992 Deluxe". Performing songs such as “Tomboy” or “Brujas” the modern music icon took the audience by storm. hosted 80 guests from the all over the world at the magnificent Palais Pisani Moretta tonight. Paying tribute to the art of filmmaking,
CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre, Catherine Rénier welcomed British actor Benedict Cumberbatch and South Korean actor Lee Byung-Hun,
at a palace which has previously welcomed Tsar Paul I of Russia, Joséphine Bonaparte, Holy Roman Emperor Joseph II and Goethe.
The highlight of the evening was a Letters Live performance by Jaeger-LeCoultre brand ambassador Benedict Cumberbatch.
Letters Live is a philanthropic initiative which promotes the power of literacy by inviting worldclass artists to perform live readings

The fifteenth edition of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) is pleased to receive a group of very talented French artists who –in diverse ways– have made their mark in the history of French and international cinema. Among the French actors and filmmakers that will be visiting Morelia as Special Guests are:

Michel Hazanavicius: Actor and director well known for directing the off-beat OSS 117 spy movies and then later for his Oscar winning film The Artist (2011), starring Jean Dujardin and Bérénice Bejo. His most recent film, Redoutable (2017), was part of the Official Selection at Cannes and will have its Mexican premiere at the 15th FICM. Also, FICM will have the honor of presenting the world premiere of the documentary about Michel Hazanavicius by Jean-Pierre Lavoignat and Christophe d’Yvoire.

Barbet Schroeder: Swiss-French director, actor, and producer, he has enjoyed a long and prolific career in film. He worked as Jean-Luc Godard’s assistant and at the age of 23, he and Eric Rohmer founded the production company Les Films du Losange, which produced some of the best movies of the French New Wave. His most recent film, The Venerable W. (2017), was part of the Official Selection at Cannes and will have its Mexican premiere at the 15th FICM.

Laurent Cantet: Director who has won more than 30 awards at the most prestigious film festivals around the world, including: the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008 (The Class), the César Award for Best First Feature given by the French Film Academy in 2001 (Human Resources), the Lumière Award for Best Picture in 2009 (The Class) and the prize awarded by the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) in 2009 (Time Out), just to mention a few. His most recent film, The Workshop (2017), was part of the Official Selection at Cannes and will have its Mexican premiere at the 15th FICM.

Emmanuel Gras: Documentary filmmaker who prioritizes the visual elements of cinema. He studied cinematography at the École Nationale Supérieure Louis Lumière in Paris. His films address contemporary social issues and are marked by a careful commitment to form. His latest film Makala (2017) won the Grand Prix at the Cannes’ Semaine de la Critique and will have its Mexican premiere at the 15th FICM.


Léa Mysius: After studying literature, she graduated from the screenwriting department at La Fémis in 2014. Her short film Les Oiseaux-ton-nerre (2014) was selected for the Cannes Cinéfondation. She has also written with other directors, notably Arnaud Desplechin. Ava (2017), is her debut feature, it was part of the Official Selection of the Cannes’ Semaine de la Critique and will have its Mexican premiere at the 15th FICM.

Finally, the actor Nahuel Pérez Biscayart will be assisting the 15th FICM to present the Mexican premiere of BPM (Beats per Minute) (2017), by French director Robin Campillo, where he plays Sean, a charismatic figure of Act-Up Paris in the early 1990s. The film won the Grand Jury Prize at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Doha, Qatar, 8 April 2017: Under the patronage of His Highness The Father Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Mall of Qatar held its grand opening on April 8, 2017. Over 150,000 visitors flocked to witness the grand opening, with over 200 talented artists performing in over 20 mall-wide shows, 300,000 balloons in movement with the special acts, and extraordinary celebrations. The Grand Opening Ceremony was an unparalleled celebration packed with unforgettable experiences and thrilling festivities that truly reflected Mall of Qatar’s vision. Guests were serenaded by the incredible vocals and lyrical prowess of multi-national awarded classical crossover vocal group - Il Divo. The Grand Opening day truly demonstrated Mall of Qatar’s merge of excellent shopping with amazing live entertainment for a mall experience like no other.

In addition to a memorable performance by Il Divo, stage shows included Shaolin Warriors – a showcase of the remarkable skills of over 10 kung fu masters who demonstrated over a thousand years’ of Chinese martial-arts culture, as well as the Dinosaur Zoo live performance with amazingly life-like dinosaurs and other creatures performed on stage. The mall-wide shows included tree walkers, balloon dragons and flower walking parades for all visitors to enjoy. Families also experienced thrilling kiddy balloon rides inside the mall. Furthermore, MOQLIVE amazed audiences with its mesmerising live performances.
