Round four of the 2019/20 ABB FIA Formula E Championship will take place in Mexico City on Saturday 15 February at the modified 2.606km Autodrómo Hermanos Rodríguez. Mahindra Racing’s Pascal Wehrlein and Jerome D’Ambrosio will be in action for the squad in the #94 and #64 M6Electro’s, with their objectives set firmly on building on the team’s performance so far this season as the all-electric racing series moves to Mexico.
Pascal Wehrlein, who claimed his first Super Pole appearance of the 2019/20 season and scored 12 points at the previous race in Santiago, returns to Mexico where he took his maiden Pole Position and led the race until the final corner in his rookie year last season. His teammate, Belgian driver Jerome D’Ambrosio, who debuted Formula E’s new innovative Driver’s Eye last month, has been part of the team who has been involved in devising the Mexico City track alterations.
Before Mahindra Racing goes green in Mexico, it will have its European Discovery Network premiere on Tuesday 11 February as it stars in the third series of Rise of the Machines. The squad were followed by the documentary crew throughout pre-season testing in Valencia for the hour-long episode which unlocks six innovations beneath the chassis of the M6Electro and tells the story of the preparation of a new race season. Rise of the Machines looks at the DNA of some of the world’s most extreme machines which have evolved to become the most advanced of its kind. The programme will air on Discovery Flanders and Discovery Netherlands at 1930hrs local on 11 February before being rolled out across Europe and America. |
